Man on Man defense

Adam and I split up the kids this weekend for some individual attention. Adam and Lukas went to Boise this weekend to visit some of Adam's family. Lukas was WILD about his aunts (and the dogs) and got lots of scruffy beard kisses from Grandpa. I love this picture Adam's dad took of Adam and Lukas. I stayed home with Adelaine and though she was a sick pup this weekend, I loved getting to just cuddle with her and focus on her. Really great weekend for all.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

I have been hiding paint supplies from Lukas as it has been brutal to get paint stains out of our carpet, but due to much persuasion, I gave in this morning and was rewarded by a fun painting of a racecar. I like the puff of smoke coming out the back the most!

Heart to Heart

Just such a fun few days the last few days. Today was so fun with early Valentine's celebrations at Lukas' preschool and Adelaine's little rec. center class. (Pictures are from these festivities). Adelaine let me kiss her a ton today and Lukas wanted to "snuggle me" at naptime. Yes!!!!! Tonight we are hiring our first babysitters and going out with our caregroup - so excited and so thankful!

Weekend of Fun

We spent the weekend just packed full of activities - just super fun stuff:

Friday night - Family Benefit Night/Auction for Orphans Overseas - super great with the whole family.

Saturday morning - Another chance to celebrate Adelaine with a 2 year old birthday/Valentine's tea (while Adam/Lukas taught ESL).

Saturday night - Good friends watched the kids while Adam and I had an AMAZING date at the Orphans Overseas Gala downtown. It was incredible.

Sunday we chilled until I went with a friend to paint ceramics, only to come back to MORE alone time because Adam took the kids to the Nature Park for a couple of hours. Movie night after that.

Pretty amazing I'll say. They aren't all that way and since it is now Monday and my patience is already worn thin after my son called me "poopy bottom" today at the inflatable jumphouse today and daughter "screams-a-lot" weren't aware they were supposed to continue my bliss, I will just count my weekend as the treasure it was!!!!
